Sleeplessness is a hallmark of life today, We flip and toss, scour social media, watch Netflix or Hulu or Amazon Prime. The coronavirus quarantine has only exacerbated our anxiety.
I've never slept that soundly, but I've always been a compulsive reader. A couple of years ago my husband got me a Kindle. With an office stuffed full of books, I hadn't thought much about getting one. Turns out, it was one of the best gifts ever. So I sleep with my Kindle – I can grab it from my nighstand, and read a few pages without turning on the light.
This reading list was compiled with the help of various Resistance members. Let the downloads begin.

When the Fuck Will This End?
Donald Trump has been in office for one year. I hesitate to
use President because he is the furthest thing from being presidential. I have
never used that title in conjunction with his name.
Enumerating the travesties taking place since his election
and inauguration has occupied pages and pages of the New York Times and the
Washington Post; millions of gigabytes online, and hours and hours of reporting
on cable television.
As of early January, his lies totaled 2,000, according to
the Washington Post. They range from the crowd at his inauguration and voting numbers to the denial
of his collusion with Russia to taking credit for creating jobs to this week’s
information regarding his health.

What the F**K Just Happened?
How could we go from having a Harvard-educated, intelligent,
eloquent president to the prospect of one who is a racist, misogynist,
anti-Semitic, bullying clown – and in between casting off a Yale-educated
diplomat who has a record for fighting for women and children?
And what can we do about it?
